DIY Dog Training

Published by at 16:16 under General Reviews

In the so called good old days people had to take care of their own issues, but that isn’t really the case anymore. Now people turn to “an expert” to take care of their problems for them. On the other hand there is a “DIY” development where folks are taking their problems into their own hands, because it’s really cool to learn how to make things happen on your own.

If you’re a dog owner then you’ll be interested in “DIY Dog Coaching” through a dog training guide like Sit Stay Fetch Dog Training. I believe this is a fantastic alternative to paying a very expensive professional dog trainer, particularly if you don’t have plenty of money to spend.

If I had to choose simply one thing about Sit Stay Fetch Dog Coaching that makes it such a nice choice then I might say it’s that you will be learning how to deal with your pet yourself. You will be gaining the abilities you need to deal not only with any behavior problems your dog has now, but also any future behavior problems that your dog has (or that any dog you’ll have in the future has.)

As the old saying goes “give a man a fish and he just eats for only a meal, teach a man how to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” By learning how to coach your dog yourself through the recommendations in the Sit Stay Fetch dog coaching guide you will be basically become a dog coach yourself. This is often a nice skill to own if you’re a real dog lover. No longer will you have to depend on anyone else to help you teach your pet to behave appropriately.

Of course not everyone has the time or inclination to coach their own dog. If you do prefer to hire a pro then you should do so. Certainly true pro dog trainers have a ton of expertise that you probably will not be able to get by simply reading a book.

It could be a particularly good plan to hire a pro if you’re dealing with a large dog which has agression issues. Certainly if you don’t feel comfortable as a “DIY Dog Trainer” than you shouldn’t go that route.

For those who are located in Austin, Texas (or near there) then I can positively recommend this dog training & dog walking service. Together with dog coaching, they also do dog walking and pet sitting.

If you don’t reside in Austin then perhaps you can look at a Review Website that covers your neck of the woods or you could, of course, check your local newspaper. Or you could just bite the bullet and try to train your dog yourself, that would probably be the most fun!
